Hello my Simbyotes! Today we're talking about more trifflin behavior that goes on in the sims community. 🙄
Back in February, a creator by the name of Botaom discovered that their stuff was being resold on a Patreon. This Patreon is called Nayssccfinds (Nays), and they have a random assortment of CC, blender rooms, and SL conversions.
In February, the creator made a case, the community was mildly mad about it, and about two days later, it's like it never happened. Lather, rinse, delulu, repeat!
Apparently they sent out a DCMA to this persons account, and yet its still here!
Fast forward to May. Another creator, Jadosims(who I feel has their own book of issues, but that's not the point rn) also caught wind of Nays.
Once again; they make a case, the community gets temporarily mad, and then they move on like it didn't happen. They'll be mad on Friday, and by Sunday afternoon they're already over it 🙄

People like Nays will continue to thrive as long as you keep feeding their pockets. Same goes for every other triffling "creator" out here. Making a fuss is cool and all, but if people are still subscribing to the BS, the BS won't leave! Periodt! Why do you think our main agitators are still around? Because y'all are still subbed to the BS!

And you wonder why you see folks like CWB and Bergdorf still out here. As far as they're concerned, their actions have zero consequences. And that's kinda how it goes around here.
If that's gonna be the case, well I'm in my Vindictive Villain era and tbh, I'm well past the point of giving a fuck whether or not someone took your things. Most of y'all aren't innocent anyways and have your own problematic behavior going on. ATP, this is sounding like a you problem. Why don't you call the Cyber Police and see if they'll help you, because EA wont. The community wont (lil miss I'm scared of the block button). So wtf you gonna do? #CryAboutIt!
I did my part! I said my piece and then some! I exposed a whole privacy invasion and get met with the equivalent of "Yeah and?". Okay den. From now on every time some mess like this pops off, Imma give you that same "yeah and?" energy! Have a good time being mad about it! I will sit here and sip my tea and go on about my day💁🏾♀️.
Oh Nays is flipping your content for a profit? Yeah, and? So? Tf you want me to do about it?! It's not my problem. Periodt.
I've already tried contacting brands and creators whose stuff got "stolen". They don't seem to care either. I even DM'd the creators on CGTrader about Hauzz and got met with silence, so 🤷🏾♀️. Clearly people are not as pressed as you think they are.
If y'all can't be bothered, well neither can I.
At the end if the day, it's not us that has to send out the DCMA'S and whatnot. It's not our content being spread all over town like a $2 hooker. This is really more of a "them" problem, than an "us" problem.
Especially when a fuss is only being made once a creator finds out. Y'all got that convenient anger 😂. Jadosims made that post some time ago and haven't heard anything since. 🤷🏾♀️ And the account is still here, still posting up business as usual. . . .but so are the creators Nays stole from. So at the very end of the day, as far as I can see, nobody lost. Nobody won either.
Y'all see this shit happen and don't do anything about it. And then have the 110% pure audacity to get mad when you see it happen again 🥴.

**Update: More has come to light since I first drafted this post. Now I found out that Nays content is up on Kemono party.**
If you don't know what that is, it's basically a website where you can upload subscription content to. They have stuff from Patreon, Gumroad, Discord and some other sites I don't mess with. The thing about uploading to there is that it's an archive. Meaning that even if Nays removes the posts, they're still gonna be up on that site.
I found this out a few weeks back when another creator decided that they were just gonna stop making content for sims(even though they still make the literal same content for IMVU and SL, so ultimately if someone wanted to grab and convert, they could).
I'm just sitting here like "Okay den. Bye". I go to Kemono to see if I can find anything before it goes ghost, a lo and behold! There's an archive of their animations! It's only up to March, but that's still better than nothing!
So going back to Nays: EVERYTHING they uploaded is on that site! Sims, blender rooms, SL hairs, you name it! It's now out there for anyone to download!
I feel like ultimately if I was a creator who's affected by this situation, I'd just take the L and move on. I feel like this would be way too messy to get into with Johnny Law. Not to mention that the Sims stuff is supposed to be free ANYWAYS.
